How do you remove pinstripe from a car?

I have a 1997 lexus es300 and it had a pinstripe down the side and its half on half off. its been like scrubbed of or the sun just ate it away. how can i remove it from the car?

yeah just use a heat gun you dont really have to scrape anything. Just heat it up and start picking at it with your finger nail you should get some pretty good pieces up and then you can use like goo off to take any glue off.

Another sugguestion would be an eraser pad for around $20, it's for a DA but you can use it in a drill and it will take it off. I had the same thing happen with my car.

Heat it up with a Heat gun or hair dryer.
I caution you to be very careful with the removal process because you don't want to scratch the paint under it. I wouldn't use anything other than a fingernail, which is still abrasive. WD40 works, but I prefer "Goo Gone"
Now don't be surprised when the paint under it is a darker shade than the rest. This is just from the sun and nothing can really be done about it. I suggest you take some Meguiars polish to the area to blend the paint back.
