Default Work I should do...

Hello All,
My 2ES has 176k miles on it, with only 1000 of those from me. I don't really know the full history of the car, so this summer I want to get some stuff done. Keep in my mind I am a broke college student, what are my priorities for things to get done?

My list so far-

Tranny drain and refill with Filter
Timing Belt (Pulley and Water Pump too?)
Plugs

What else?

Thanks!
Logan

Good call, add Two Oxygen Sensors to that list.

i didnt know there was a differential until i had to do my cv shafts recently. its separate from the transmission and requires roughly 1 qt of dextron III or equivalent. i went with royal purple since it only took one bottle, the drain plug is on the driver side near the firewall under the car. fill plug is just above the drain plug about 6" up and to the driver side some. i would recommend changing it too since it has just as many miles as the trans and is often overlooked during maintenance.

drive belts and radiator/heater hoses, distr.cap and rotor would be good to check/replace also.

Oil change of course if you haven't done it. Get your suspension components looked at. Some shops will do it for free so shop around. Also, since you are changing the plugs, you might as well look and see if you want to change the wires to. They right there and you might as well to avoid any future problems. Make sure your exhaust isnt leaking. Make sure you have clean air and cabin filters. If you feeling really mechanically inclined you can get your fuel filter changed, but if you not really knowledgeable on that, I would take it somewhere and have it done. Check your gaskets like valve cover gasket, oil pan gasket, oil pan plug gasket, rear trans gasket. Check and make sure your thermostat is working properly. If not then replace that. Flush and fill coolant. Thats all I got so far. This should keep you busy for a little while lol
