K&N Replicas on Ebay
I've been seeing "K&N Type" filters on Ebay. The company claims it does the same as an K&N filter with less the cost ($18.95). It comes with filter and adapter for the model car. Anyone tried this generic filter and why is is so much less than K&N?

I've got one of those types of filters on my car right now, I didn't notice any real performance gain (didn't expect too) but the engine is louder during acceleration. I'm probably going to switch back to the stock airbox and a new paper filter, I'd just a soon have the car be as quiet as possible.
The only drawback I see to those filters is that they may not filter dust as well as a stock paper filter, the K & N probably doesn't either.

yeah, when you have a filter like K&N...And they say whoa! Higher flow... you might wonder how it gets higher flow...well there isnt as much filtration...common sence... If this was actually good for your car dont you think that stock filters would have the same flow? no, because when you run a high flow filter you sacrifice some filtration which can leave you with more harm than good.
