Taillight issue 96 es300
Hi,
Attached is a picture of the mangled mess someone totally jacked this thing up before I owned it. They changed both of the taillight/brake bulb sockets. The housing is cracked and does leak a little and i believe that may be why. I changed the sockets with some different ones from a different model Lexus. I forget which one that i got from the junkyard. I got the tail lights and brakes all working but still can't get the turn signal to work or the reverse light. Now the turn signal will turn on and blink fast in the front if the headlights are off. if they are on it does nothing. Front one blinks normally when hazards are on. Now I put it in reverse and played with the turn signal bulb and it would come on solid. Why the turn signal light is coming on solid when reverse is in gear is beyond me. I am hoping you guys have some good suggestions or if you know anyone that is selling the rear passenger tail light harness and all the bulb sockets connected that would be even better.
Thank you,
Lee

update:
I am now trying to get a cheap one off of ebay and hope that will solve my problem. Being that the housing leaks anyways looking to get a complete one with housing and harness. Hopefully for a decent price.
Thanks,
Lee
