Exclamation Is it worth it?

Hey guys,
I have a 98 ES300 and it's pretty old. It's touching 200K miles, the check engine light has been on for a while, and half the time the car doesn't even start unless you really force it to. Anyway, I've been thinking about modding my car with a new intake/exhaust, but I have to ask - considering the condition of my car, is it worth it? Let me know.
Thanks,
Sam

NO it is not worth it,cell the car in its current condition and get a better not beaten car it will coast the exact same amount of repair bill to pay the difference with no mechanics/dealers hassle.

The fixes could be easy and the hard starting could be as simple as cleaning the IACV. Engine mods are pointless on this car.

It depends on full extent of modifications you wish to perform. BUT, as stated by other members, maintenance FIRST.
