its been doing it for long time but guess i got desensitized to it ...i did grease it and also put some oil over hinges..but it seems the noise is that big thin rod that runs across the trunk. That rod seems to touch/rub the metal above it and (i think) thats making the noise..I had also notified the Lexus dealership and they just lubricated it but the problem is still there... any ideas???

 

i did spray WD-40 but noise esp from left side still there..just hate it

 

I hate the same issue, you need a ridiculous amount of grease, wd40 and lubrication to make it go away. Just keep at it and you will solve the problem i gurante it

My trunk made the same exact noise as in the video, just keep at it with the wd40 and grease, it'll eventually stop, just keep something to cover the trunk area from all the dripping wd40 and such
