The battery keeps dieing on my '96 ES. At first it would die if it was running idle with the system, headlights, and AC on. Now it dies when it sits for a couple hours. What could the problem be? I had my altornator replaced and my battery checked. Both are ok now, yet the car still dies. Anyone have similar problems?

so you have to jump start the car every day practically? maybe you're doing this already but: before you turn off your engine, make sure the radio, headlights, a/c, etc is all turned off so the next time you turn your engine on, it doesn't drain so much power. i had a habit of keeping them on and it eventually drained my battery. how old is your battery? if it's been over 18-24 months, it's probably a good idea to get a new one.

Is the starter a possible concern in this case?

If so be wary of the cost to fix it. In my case with an LS400 a starter replacement can cost over $1,000. Supposedly most of the engine components must be removed to get to it.

I had a friend who had a Maxima with the same problem. They replaced the alternator and still were having the same issues as you. Turned out later that because of some glitch in the electrical system, the trunk light wouldn't shut off when the trunk closed, so that kept on draining the battery. It's a LOOOOOOONG LOOOOOONG shot, but do you think it might be somethin like that?
