02' ES300 Power Window Panel Detached
During the winter the drivers side power window became dislodged due to freezing around the window. The window started opening in a slanted fashion and it appears that a clip disconnected from the pane. I believe the diagram shows the window being held in two places at the bottom edge of the pane.
I let it go since I could power down the window incrementally (the right side of the window would go down and I would manually push down the left side until it was fully retracted; it would then power to close uniformly.) However, yesterday the front clip disconnected and now the window pane is free floating in the door slides.
Everything mechanically is sound it is just the pane is nolonger anchored. I was hoping someone could just give me direction on the difficulty of opening the door and reattaching the pane...anyone have experience or gone through this process with enabling the window glass....Thanks....

It's pretty easy
I'm guessing its pretty easy. I just replaced the whole regular in my son's 95 Camry which is the same as the ES300. 1A auto has a video replacing the window regular on a camry up to 2001. Yours should be similar.

Since the video is specific to the camry it does lack the secret to remove the panel on the es300, it is a puzzle to know what way to approach the anchor points. I need to find a video of the es300 2002 if it exists.

Here's how to remove the door panel for a 2002 camry. That might be a better match to your 2002 ES300. Does it look familiar? I might be mistaken in that the 2002 camry is similar to the 2002 es300 in respect to the door panel. If so sorry for leading you on a wild goose chase.

Thanks for the reply. I got the job done, it was fairly simple once I knew the number of screws. Turns out there are two which is a little different then the camry, but similar in many respects. Its amazing that a dealer might charge a couple hundred bucks for a job they can easily accomplish in about 15minutes, sincere there are no parts to replace but merely reattaching the window.
I cannot believe how lexus cheapened this power window component. The earlier camry's used two bolts to secure the window to the regulator; in the es300 it is a pinch fit with adhesive at two anchor points. The robustness of the window is compromised greatly choosing adhesive over solid bolts, and I expect the other windows in the car will probably experience a similar failure due to the flimsiness of the mounting joints.
