Good bye 95 Windom, Retired
I'm thinking that its time to sell my 1995 Windom, seems to develop a couple of problems now after being driven by my sibling for a while.
I took the car in today for regular service, had the Transmission fluid as well as the oil fluid changed. After it came back, they had some recommendations for me:
The Engine oil pan gasket, Valve Cover Gaskets, Timing Belt, Front crankshaft and camshaft oil seals need replacing, as well as to Repair the crack in the radiator, goose neck hose, and Re-surface all disk brakes.
The first estimate that I have currently to repair the entire car is about $1175 KYD, This pretty much seems to be a complete overhaul + Brake Service.
I'm planning on getting other estimates soon.
Now I'm wondering, as I've never really sold a vehicle before, This is my first car that I've owned, and my currant DD is the 2001 Windom.
I'm thinking on letting the car go for $1200 KYD as it is right now, if I do have it repaired though, i'm thinking on selling it for $2500 KYD in hopes of getting at least or near $2000, the car is about 16 years old now.
However, what are your thoughts on what I should do? Should I fully repair then sell it, or should I just sell the vehicle as is?
Thank you for time and input.

try selling as-is, if you do not get what you want, then consider repairing but since you're going to sell, I would only repair the necessities like brakes and hoses.
Gaskets are good to change but if you are selling the vehicle, it makes no since to tear into the engine. I would only do the full repair if I kept the car. jmo.

Well I decided instead of selling the car, I decided to just park the car at a garage, so they can use for parts and turn in all the papers.
Replacing the leaking gaskets, (all of them are leaking) and Replacing the Timing belt are going to be more expensive that what the car is worth, not to mention with all the oil thats leaking, from the engine, it wont pass inspection anyway, which is due next month.
With this said, My 95 Windom is now Retired. Was a fun first car.
I'll stick with my 2001 Windom that I have now, lets see if this will last me another 6 more years before I decide to change my car again.
