Default Strut brace tower for 2000

Hey guys I went to the toyota parts today asking for the strut tower brace from the 99-01 solara and they said it's $110 for the part. They also said they don't give out part numbers. I was wondering if this is a exact fit and is there a place I could get it cheaper

Are you talking about the strut brace that ties the front struts together under the hood?

I wonder if a later model one would fit. My '05 has one on it from the factory.

Try:

http://www.trademotion.com/partlocat...08&catalogid=0

or

http://www.lexuspartsnow.com/

I wasn't able to find it, but you may have better luck. The part websites can be relatively incomplete at times, especially with no part#. I don't think mine has that brace and it might be tougher to find if it was added in later models such as yours

Still trying to find a site that might have it. No luck Should I buy it brand new from Toyota dealership for $110? Is it worth it?

Do you even need one? My 97 doesn't have one and the only application I can think of is for excessively hard driving and maintaining the rigidity of the struts. If there is no structural failure on it I don't see the need in replacing it. I would think there is something else that is contributing to the body roll.

I'm just being logical, but my logic could be wrong haha
