Default Hood Cable. Pain in the A@@!!!

After a couple of times trying to close the hood, it would not close.. I thought nothing of it as usual because it happens all the time and i just have to let it reset by itself.. Well, not this time. It wouldnt close and I was supposed to drive 35 miles on the expressway to school!! I dont think so. So I go to one lexo dealership, "McGrath" The BEST people there, the service guy, not a tech came out to my car with some lube, and starting playing with it and trying a couple things... After about 10 minutes he said that I would need a new cable. The cool thing though is that he told me that if I could put all of the electronics in my car that I have that I should just redo the cable myself.. Otherwise he would charge me for two hours of labor.. McGrath is the BEST!!! Anyway, they didnt have the cable so I had to go two hours away to get the cable... Driving 40 and under the whole way. The service guy told me that his hood flew up on him one time at 40 so I was watching the the whole time. All is well, and I fixed it now. I could not get the cable through the same hole though that the other one was in though.. A real pain in the A$$! So, five hours later and driving only 6 miles it is done..
