Hey everyone, I'm new to posting but I've been a reader for a while. I appreciate all the help that this community offers, but I haven't been able to find a solution for my current situation.
I have a 93 ES 300 and the front passenger side window stopped working completely. It went out in stages. First, the switch on the passenger side would roll the window down, but not up. The driver's side switch would control the window going both up and down. Then one day neither switch worked . . . up or down.
I figured the motor just went out, so I bought a used motor/regulator on ebay from a junkyard. I installed it today and no luck. Still no response at all from either switch. At this point I'm thinking about just taking it into a mechanic and having him look at it because I'm assuming it's electrical. I definitely am not familiar with the wiring on this car!!![Smilie](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
I don't know if this is a common problem or not, but I though I would test the waters and see if anyone could offer some help. Thanks guys.

I forgot to mention that I also checked the fuse box to see if any fuses were out. None of them were labeled for the windows, but I did check in case.

It's possible the wiring that goes into the drivers door has failed or become intermittent, it happens from the harness bending over and over again. The drivers side window switch could also be failing, power goes to that module before it goes to the rest of the window controls.
If you can, get another drivers side switch assembly and swap that out. If that does not help then you'll need to remove the door panel to free up some slack in the harness, and pull it out/expose the area that flexes to see if there is wire fatigue there (could also be a wire break problem on the passenger door).

I got 2 doors did not work like yours before.
It was the door switch contact problems.
If you could take it out, clean it with electronic contact cleaner or sand paper.
Or change the switch.

Looks like it was the master switch. I ended up taking it to the shop because rain was coming and I didn't have any time to fix it myself. They identified the switch as the problem as well as locked the window in the up position. Any recommendations for online junkyards that would sell a master switch for cheap?
Thanks for all the help!

Yea my passenger window stopped working so I bought a drivers master switch on E bay for 30 bucks that did NOT work, then I went to the junkyard and picked up a passenger switch without the woodgrain trim and popped it in in place of the old one, cost me 10 bucks BINGO! problem solved!
