Ok so I have a 1994 Lexus es300 and after letting someone drive my car the trans has stopped working and was wondering if anyone has run into a problem like this. I can put it into any gear and it will make a whirling noise and not move and witj my foot on the brake when I put it in park it will grind very loudly like it's hitting a gear or something???? Is there an adjustment or something I'm missing here?

Did you check your transmission fluid level. Too much? Too little? Color? Odor?
Make sure you check it with engine running while the car is on level ground.

Level is fine it's a bit dirty and smells like trans fluid. I don't think it has anything to do with the actual trans but maybe linkage of some sort maybe?? It seems to be shifting fine by the trans though?
