1999 ES 300 bank 2 knock sensor (SSDD)
Hey peeples I am now a posting member and have a question about the knock sensor on this car, it is running in safe mode with the code but I don't believe the sensor is bad I think it's the wiring to the sensotr on bank 2
I will get the car running again today or tomorrow it also needs a coil but haven't had it analized yet. Any how my question is - Previously I read some posting here about bypassing the wire and letting bank 1 give the pass code to the computer in place of tearing down the top half of the engine to replace a wire pigtail- now I know this engine will do fne on one sensor- who can get me the info and help to locate the wires on the ECM to make he jump- it has been done and I am weighing the options to tear it down or jury rig it to run right- side note -car has an extremely high mileage and the tear down may not be worth the investment
