ATF drain and fill or flush?
Hello, I've bought a 94Es300, 155k miles on engine. I know a new tranny was put in at 70k. But I dont know the service on the new tranny. Should I drain and fill just tranny pan or a full flush? Also, what is the best ATF for this car and is there a tranny filter that should be changed also? Thanks in advance for any help......

Honestly, drain & fill.
Especially with a car/trans that old. Hell, i thought my 2001 was old... which is why i drain/fill replace filter & gasket with OEM oil. Not gonna mess up my trans. with converting to synthetic @ 110k miles... way too much can go wrong.
Its a tough call, but do some research and decide for yourself. I've done it and did an extensive thread on here about it. Just look it up.

It's has been recommended to DRAIN and fill (on my 2ES). As LEXPL said, "way too much can go wrong".
Interestingly enough I was watching Motor Week [last week], and Goss suggested a tranny FLUSH every 30k because of the buildup, or pay MUCH more down the line when you need to get a new transmission. I want to email him to hear his suggestion on flushing older vehicles--chances are he'll say the same, just drain.
