NO!!!!! GS rims have too postive an offset!
ES300 is +42 GS is +50mm I believe..
I am positive gs rims won't fit simply because GS rims are RWD
and your ES is FWD!
BTW: I have a BRAND NEW SET OF 2001 PLATINUM EDITION ES300 RIMS FOR SALE $725 (ACTUALLY HAVE 100 MILES ON EM)
EMAIL LEXUS1995@AOL.COM
I HAVE USED TIRES AVAILABLE AS WELL FOR $99

Thanks for the heads up. Although, I would love the platinum rims they are a bit out of my price range. I just invested in new rubbers for my stock rims, and have the michelin pilot's XGT's. I will probably keep my current setup with the addition of toyico shocks.

I think an 8 inch wide wheels is perfect for 225 tires, although I'm sure they'd look fine on a 7.5" wheel too.
The GS wheels probably wouldn't work well, the offset is for RWD and even if they fit, RWD wheels on FWD cars usually isn't good for the car, it puts alot more stress on parts of the car.
My apologies to whoever's car that is, to each his own, but IMO those Alba's are hideous.
