Default "L" Rim Quest-ee-on ^_^

Hey CL,

So I've been thinking bout this for a while, and got a question for you experienced L fellows. . .

You guys know of any Lexus rims that are:

1. 18" or more
2. Will fit on (and look good on) a 2001 ES300
3. Decently priced (planning on about 1000.00 budget-ish)

I'm not a fan of chrome (hate me if you want) - I'm more of a gunmetal grey kinda person. . .just looks better to me imo. . .

I saw some rims for an IS that looked splended, but I'm not one of those guys that knows much about wheel diameter and tire size and x/x/x sizes and low lying this and that if you catch my drift. . .would appreciate the help, and would appreciate some pictures of em if you can find em Thanks!!!

lol I feel yah man. . .I went to a wheel shop down the road from me, and the dialogue was something like:

Me: "hey man, I was looking for some 18's or 19's to put on that gold ES 300 out there"

Salesman: "well we have quite a few. . .what tire and rim combo were you looking for?"

Me: ". . . . . . . ."

Salesman: "don't know much, huh?"

Me: "nope. . ."

Me: ". . . . . . .I'll come back. . . . . ."

Salesman: "okay. . ."

I really want to go sporty with this ES. . .not too sporty, but a hint here and there. . .I just can't go chrome. . .chrome is evil lol

Haha, the is rims look great on almost any es, and ya i dont understand it either. I am looking for a spacer now, but apparently there are so many spacers you need to avoid and so few you can buy

Well i guess i got the one up, even though i just learned what it was yesterday haha, it basically just gives you more room for wider tires

or vice versa, or for more contact with the road for better handling. Only reason im getting them is because the tires on it are brand new goodyear eagle gt w-rated

What do you want to know? You're asking the mist vague question you can... Then again it's not like we have a huge thread with various wheel & tire combos...

Hint: do a search
