Does anyone know where the A/C low side service port is at?

I have a 1997 ES300. I read it is near the passenger side firewall, but is it down very low?

Has anyone here ever recharged their A/C by themselves?

I checked the pressure on mine when I bought my car and IIRC it is down in the back of the bay (firewall). Just look around.

Charging isn't very difficult, I've done it on cars running both R134a and R12. Blast the AC and shoot the refrigerant in. Be careful you don't overfill. You can even buy one of those quick charge kits that comes with instructions.
