no, think of it like this. If you plug a bulb rated at 35 watts into a ballast that puts out a POWER of 55 watts, you will burn the bulb up because it is only meant to handle a POWER of 35 watts. By putting resistors into the ballast, you can decrease the flow of electricity, and ultimately decrease the overall power. It's all about fine tuning the ballast so it puts out a reasonable bottom line-- which is POWER. hahah

Thanks man, good look. DDM says their bulbs will come with a 35 watt sticker on them. They're made to handle 60 watts, I think, but they said they'll work on the 55 watt kits too. My brother had one of these on his 08 accord an he's had it for a little more than a year.

Correct. A 35W bulb will work with 55W ballasts however you effectively are overdriving the bulb.

There are actual 55W HID bulbs which look completely different than 35W bulbs. They are significantly thicker.

I use "Helligkeit" supposedly german, and by eBay standards its 'cheap' 55$ USD shipped to your door.

And, i won't buy any kit besides this one, A. the price is wicked, B. my first kit lasted just short of 4 yrs [in two cars] when the ballast finally died.

I personally think that all HID kits are like one of those 50 cents machine at walmart where you turn the lever and you dont know what toy it will drop.

I have a ONEX kit in my XB that i paid 50 dollars, i have been using for 2 years and still no issues, i do have a spare set just in case.

My buddy bought a kit online and paid like 160 and with in 3 months 1 of his ballast die.

So you see, HID kits are like a box of Chocolates LOL "Run Forrest"

I'm obviously biased about our HID products. I will say that we have been selling HID kits for nearly 10 years and have been a successful ClubLexus vendor for nearly 8 years. As you guys must know, it would be impossible for us to stay in business (especially as a supporting vendor) if we were selling low grade products.
