Default Vehicle speed sensors for 2000 Lexus ES300 - number and location

I have an issue with a sticking speedometer, there is a delay when I slow down, the needle remains at the last highest speed, the abruptly jumps down (not even sure if it is showing the right speed). The odometer is working. No error codes either.

I checked the instrument cluster last night, everything looks fine.

I decided to check the speed sensors today by suggestion. Apparently, there are 6 total - 4 on wheels, 2 on the transmission. The person suggested that I should replace/clean the speed sensor on the transmission.

I did a search on speed sensors for my 2000 Lexus es300. I found these 2 variations that supposedly fit my vehicle:

1. http://images.wrenchead.com/smartpag.../STA/sc153.jpg

2. http://images.wrenchead.com/smartpag.../STA/sc149.jpg

I looked today for 30 minutes to locate either, no luck. I called the nearest Lexus dealership and they faxed me the location of the sensors. There are 2 identical No.1 sensors on top of my transmission, one visible, the other under the airbox. I removed both, they were covered with black gue and grime (metal shavings possibly?), cleaned them, and swapped both out for one another. Will see if that helps my erratic speedometer needle.

QUESTION: Is there a No. 2 sensor also located in my vehicle? I am wondering since everywhere this one also pulls up as a match for my car. Also, which one of the 2 identical ones would possibly be responsible for my erratic speedometer reading?

THANKS IN ADVANCE!

@EEngineer - Thanks. That is the one I cannot find anywhere. Do you know where it would be located?

The OEM part number for my vehicle appears to be 83181-12040 (8318112040), Speedometer Sensor. It would be great if anyone could forward a location, chart, picture, or description!

Thanks. I got a fax from the dealership, but their drawing really tells me nothing. Will put the car on a ramp tomorrow and check visually.

My transmission does not have a VSS, the opening has been what looks like factory sealed off. My assumption is the 2 black speed sensors and the 4 wheel sensors are transmitting the vehicle speed to the speedometer. Or it is in a location I have yet to find.
