There are kits on the market specifically for painting the calipers. There are also high temp spray paints. I am planning on doing the same with my 2000 ES. I have two tone white/gray and plan on putting on Lexus decal. Looking at Silver or Black with white Lexus decal.

I like gold, but I think painting calipers is dumb. They get very dusty very quickly, so all that work will go to waste. Unless of course you plan on removing the wheels from time to time and cleaning everything out.

Don't try to rice out your Lexus, or attempt to make them look Brembro or whatever.

Just go with a nice clean silver metallic or black.

I would vote for black. I love the way your car looks with black rims. Plus if they do get dirty, gloss black will still look.....black.

Black ftw! I've been using that since I've had the car. Gonna go with metallic silver myself next spring though.

Right - go with black or real Brembos on all 4 corners or go home.

I think some cars look pretty good when the cals are painted the same color as the car; either the trim or the body. Another suggestion; if the cal is new or cleaned right down to the metal, use a clear paint.
Why do some think painting the cals is a waste of time? Well, we replaced the front cals on our ES300 this spring and didn't paint them, now they're rusty. Not a pretty sight when the rest of the car is nice and clean.

I have no idea whether Lexus has Brembos or not, but if it does go with stencils after you paint them with High Temp paint. Decals will inevitably peel. The stencils are more expensive but will last you a lifetime, they also involve another masking and spray. But well worth it. As to color, whatever suits your mood. Ferrari yellow, Brembo red or black. I've put them on my rig and do a lot of off road with temps ranging from -56F to 90F and have had no problem - oh yeah I also pull a 30 foot trailer.
