Default How to clear codes

I would like to know if there is a way to clear all codes without a reader. I know in my Grand Prix, you press the gas pedal down 3 times, then hold it, and it would clear, so I'm hoping there might be something as easy for this car. It's a 96 ES300. Thanks in advance...

I don't think there is a pedal trick on Japanese cars. I know BMWs have the same pedal technique. If you have a laptop, I would highly recommend purchasing a reader from OBDCOM (google it). It's roughly $90 and gives you all the features of much more expensive readers. It comes with an OBD2 cable that you plug in through a USB port and a CD with the software. I have one and I really like it.

Thanks, but its not actually my car, just a friends I'm helping her with, so trying not to spend a bunch of money. Was just trying to reset to test to see if the code came back on. Why cant they make everything easy? Stupid cars... Thanks anyway.

Hmmm, not sure if resetting the ecu will clear what you want, i know it clears my lean problem. Just unplug the cables to the battery for like 5 to 10 minuets and it should clear.

If you take it to Autozone, they will read the code, tell you the problem, try to sell you the fix, and clear it, all for free.
