Default No Power for A/C -Radio and Tape Player

My friend was trying to reconnect cigarette lighter in 96es300. I need to use it to charge phone when driving. Somehow it knocked out power to the entire console that has radio, ac and heater controls. Checked fuses and not any were blown. Anyone with any answers to what could have happened and the most inexpensive way to repair. I really need my air conditioner!!! Any help will be appreciated!!! God Bless!!!

Charging the phone knocked out the power and your friend is trying to restore it or your friend was in the console and knocked out the power? If the former then it should've blown a fuse, if not it might've overheated the wiring or you might have a bad ground. If the latter... well, it's possible something is fried...

Tracing the wiring via schematic until you locate the melted stuff...

To be honest, if the fuses are verified good then there's a good chance something is simply disconnected. I'd recommend tracing the wiring with a multi-meter until you find the loss of power. This won't be quick or easy but it's possible it might be simple and cheap once you find it...
