The bad belt was a Bando one I got with my ebay kit... I went out and bought another Gates belt and its running fine. The Gates belt I pulled off lasted 140k miles and could have gone longer, so by NO MEANS am I bashing Gates, In fact, I recommend them for everything! all my belts and hoses are 4-5yrs old and were absolutely FINE.
