how much to they charge just to check the code?

That varies. Most dealers charge 1 hour. Independent shops... maybe $50 or so. That's just a rough guess.

i went to NTB today and they told me that this shop i went dont have the thing that reads the code...(computer) but other NTB do...im think ima search for another shop
