Abs came up when changing the struts
Whats ABS?i currently finished installing the new struts on my lexus es300 year 97...ok I change the struts during a small rain(idk if that caused to show Abs)...install went perfectly but, when,i turned on the car it showed abs...i got a lil scared and turned off the car anyone has experience that?

The light means there's an issue with the ABS (anti-lock brakes). Might be a simple issue with a reset, otherwise it's possible one of the wheel speed sensors is unhooked or was damaged during the install. Depends on the code.

^Agreed. Have someone to pull the specific ABS malfunction code for you so you will know which one of the four wheel speed sensors is unhooked or damaged (also check the wires).

Get the codes read first so you know which sensor to check out (and remember, it might not be a sensor). Sensors are mounted in the hub so they can read the reluctor wheel.

OK when i changed the first strut was the driver side...after i was finished with the DRIVER SIDE i moved the car a little back (to a shade) during that this thing was showing on the dashboard (ABS) so is the driver side sensor..but idk which one bc theres 3 lines going to the hub...but...all the info that i know is that 2 lines go to the back one goes right one goes left. i took it to autozone and they said they dont do codes for ABS. do u want me to take a video and post it?

I will tell you that the speed sensor cable is bolted to the strut housing so you had to take it off when you replaced the strut. This is the rear correct? The speed sensor cable goes into the vehicle in the wheel well.
