Default Anyone Changed out the Factory Stereo?

Has anyone trashed the factory stereo for an aftermarket? Can you still use the factory amp and 6 disc? Can the changer be moved so it can be accessed by the driver?

as far as i know.....you can't use 6 disc with an aftermarket receiver.

also, you don't want to use a factory amp with a better and more powerful aftermarket receiver.

good luck, brother.

My changer went kaput, so I decided to get a new player altogether. Right now, I'm pretty sure the factory amp is still running with it.. I didn't do the install myself and I know I didn't buy a new amp, so there.

The factory head units dont have RCA jacks in the back of them so that is a waste of time going that route.... The only other way i know of is to connect speaker level inputs to ur amp (the amp has to have this capability) from your rear window speakers then run ur remote wire to something that turns on and off with the car so it doesnt drain ur battery.
