Morning! Don't mind at all. I refinished the emblem/badges myself.
Carefully removed them from the car using plastic line to cut the old adhesive and a small screw driver to pry with. Removed all the old adhesive from the emblems/badges and car using ammonia.
Used 600 sandpaper to prep the parts, then cleaned with alcohol
light coat of dark primer, light sand, another light coat of primer, light sand.
Several very light coats (almost mist) of black paint, then followed by no less than six coats of clear coat.
It sounds like a lot more work than it is, but after the primer, each coat of paint can be added 3-5 minutes following the last.
Small strips of 3M management tape (double sided tape) were cut and added to the back side of all the parts before putting them back on the car.
On a side note, I did the badges on the wheel center caps yesterday. Same steps except for removing them. They are held on by four little spring clips each, but in the center there is a long plastic piece going into the center cap, then melted at the tip of that long piece or "plug" as I called it. I was able to gently pry the badges back and forth until that "plug" broke down inside the cap. Again, when putting those emblems back on, I used the double sided tape under the emblem, along with the four clips, it makes for a nice firm fit
