Lightbulb Navi Disclaimer Screen - How to disable?

Just purchased a 2002 ES 300 w/ Navi. Most of it is great. But I'd like to quit agreeing to the initial disclaimer screen. Is there a way to disable that? Thanks.

Well, 1st off you need to find out if the disclaimer screen is on the dvd or if it's part of the dvd player. If it's on the dvd and you have a dvd-rw and the right software, you could copy the dvd and edit the copy.

No way...it's part of the navigation firmware, or the embedded software. You can't change that.

Default Check LS group out

I found a thread in LS group how to watch DVD on navigation screen and get rid of the disclaimer. I believe that LS system is identical to ES, so the same recommendation can be used.

The navi system is a dvd player -- you can take your car to lexus every year to get a new, updated dvd put in.

There is only one update for the dvd nav, 2001 models only, and some early production 2002 sc430s. It's $499.00 plus labor. Lexus doesn't give free updates anymore, unless they decide to give it to you.

Wow, I thought they advertised annual updates were as easy as popping in a new DVD. I must've read wrong.

Kreativ,
It is as easy as popping in the cd, the $499 is JUST for the cd. Crazy huh?
