Default After Market Alarm 96 ES

Hello my name is Kevin and im new to this forum. I just recently purchased a 96 ES300 that only came with 1 key and i would like to make a copy that will allows me to start the engine. Now i have a 07 dodge magnum that has a chip in the key and the people who installed my alarm bypassed the chip which allows me to take a regular key to start my car. This is my first experience with a lexus but was wondering can the same be done for my ES so i can avoid looking for keys and programing them?

Thanks for the help

P.s Ithis forum is very informative

I have spent the last 5 years working for Chrysler and I know of no way to do that. In the few instances I've seen of aftermarket remote starts and such the way they got around it was to get a key programmed to the car and mounted it under the dash so it's always in range of the ignition. Not a good idea at all but it works. I certainly wouldn't do this to my ES. For what it costs to go to the dealer and get a key it's worth the theft detterent.

Not sure why you want to avoid the dealer but I see them on ebay all the time. Do a google search as well.
