Rust on black posts on doors of ES 330
Has anyone heard of rust on the black posts being a defect?
It turns out that it has to do with water accumulating under the rubber around the doors.
Furthermore, the Dealer says you must replace the whole door- not possible to replace post only.
Does this qualify for extended goodwill for this?

We have a 2002 es300. One rust spot is growing on the lower part of the driver's door black post. No other visible rust on the exterior of the car. Not sure what to do about it. As you said, it does not appear to be a replaceable part. Any ideas?

you can fix it, go to a paint shop and they will cut and remove the metal part ( only what is affected by rust). they will weld a new metal part and repaint the part ....
not so expensive, depend on the size or the rust...
