Default Shift boot on a auto?

What's up CL members,
I've been deciding on putting a shift boot on my auto shifter. I'm not trying to make my 2es look like a manual. I jst wanna give it a more luxury look. More like the newer cars. Jst wanted some opinions.

Another question.
I've been wanting to do led interior lights. Which LEDs do you guys prefer?

Go for it. If it turns out looking bad, we will know exactly what NOT to do

For interior LEDs, try to search for a thread. I remember seeing it done on here not too long ago.

^ just not worth the hassle imo... on top of that, its a rectangular shape and not a square like all manual cars. The boot would need to be one-off. Unless you want to pay out the *** for an oem mercedes AMG one...

As for the LED interior lights, there are many different types of LED's. After much trial and error (I made all the mistakes so you don't have to), I've found that the SMD type works best for interior lighting. For the dome lights, make sure to use LED panels, because that's the only way they'll fit in the light and be bright enough. This is an example of an SMD LED panel (the same one I used for the front dome light):

This is an example of a regular LED panel, what NOT to get for interior lighting, especially for the dome lights (they do work for the interior, but they aren't as bright as the SMD's, and they have more of a bluish light than pure white):

I think a leather (or pleather/vinyl) shift boot would be interesting and something I might be interested in. Not so much on the LED stuff... too old for that!

Yeah that was what i was thinking. But only issue is that you might need a new shift **** and doing that you're gonna have to cut to O/D cord and splice it pretty much. But i'm debating about doing it or not.

If I were gonna try it I would cut it to fit over the stock shifter handle and put velcro on it to close it up once it was on. Have seen many stock shift boots like that.

there's no way that it'll look good trying to fit a shifter boot on the auto shifter

Not that I'm going to do it but I certainly don't see why not. It's not like there is no such thing as an auto shifter with a shift boot...

but our cars weren't designed like that.
to me, this seems like a huge waste of time.
shananigans that won't do anything to make the car better.

No more of a waste than yellow headlamps, lowering the car, adding led lights, or 18"+ wheels... our cars weren't designed like those either. I would submit that a well done shift boot for the auto stick would look much better and far classier than any of those other things...
