Mystery **** under dash (2002 ES300)

There is a **** under the dash to the right of the steering wheel. It turns, but I can't figure out what it does. Can't find it in my owners manual either. Any ideas?

I believe that it is for the volume of your beep. It control the volume level of the beep when you lock or unlock your car with the key remote

Yep. I have a 3ES and the **** under the dash controls the loudness of the "beep" when you lock/unlock the car.
