Default 94 ES300 shifting problem..thoughts?

1994 ES300 180K miles worked well until I had it shipped between states. Long story short, the car runs and shifts to all gears but one -reverse. The car starts and shifts to drive and everything else but I can't hear or feel the gears shifting when I try to put it into reverse. Any thoughts? I just thought I'd try and trouble shoot this first before considering a tranny replacement.

Check the position of the "Parl/Neutral" positioner,

Leave the car on level ground, E-brake on.

Got to the front of the car and location the positioner on the driver side, loosen the 13MM nut and move the arm in all postions then get inside the car and place the shifter in NEUTRAL then go to the positioner and lock the nut after placing the positioner in the neutral postion, that is two clicks up.

This will reset the shifter position.

If that does not fix it then drain tranny and check for metal bits.

It is located right behind the radiator hose, can't miss it.

Well actually there is a retaining nut before that metal bracket connected to the cable, it is 13MM. You will need to insert your key into the shifter release then shift it to Neutral then check adjustment. Do not do this with the car on, very dangerous. Place a chock on the wheels so it will not roll, just for safety sake.

PM me your email address and I will send you the shop manual for the trans work.
