What have you done to your ES today?

naw don't need to. Its only a minor connection. You might just blow one fuse only. But just for that there is no need to disconnect the battery. BUT what you could do is remove the fuse instead. But remove them before you know that the lights work. By removing that particular fuse and it made the job much more easier.

did some minor rust repairs with some 'rust dissolver' type stuff.
Undercoated the hell out of this thing. Surprisingly, under the rocker covers it's simple base paint. Surprised mine was relatively clean but still hit the whole rocker in & out with rubberized undercoating.

Thanks for the tips. I think I am going to do this. I want to use diodes and try to power the stock bulb to keep the vintage look...but you know what I have some surface mount tiny "warm white" LEDs maybe I'll just put that in there it should slip right in and it has a ribbon cable lead on it. I'll let you know how it works out. I just want some decent light in the interior when I unlock and open the doors.

did oil change and transmission drain n fill. Went with 10W30 valvoline and oem oil filter and for transmission went with castrol all import ATF with 4 quarts. shifts much smoother now.
Also took advantage of the weather and applied Leatherique on front seats. And it was WOW much smoother and clean looking too. I highly recommend getting leatherique products since our ES is old so dirt and grease tends to build up.
i dont have before pics. just after pics with a cell phone tho:

Started to service the A/C today
So the person I bought my 98 es from told me that the compressor was blown and needed to be replaced. When I did the engine swap I had the compressor out since the system was flat any ways. For S&G I spun it up with a power drill and hooked a 12v rc battery pack to the clutch and it seemed to work fine.So today I figured what the hell I'll charge it up and see what happens. Happened that 12oz cans were on sale at my local Napa store to boot. Vacuumed it to 30, charged it up with 28oz and the compressor worked fine... No cold air and the low side went to vacuum... Dam it! Time for an expansion valve, filter drier and some PAG46 .Well at least the parts are cheap. $11 for the filter drier and $18 for the expansion valve. Better than the $250 for a compressor!
