What have you done to your ES today?

Had an extra safety triangle (from Volvo S80) that you see on european cars. and put it on the ES and here is the look:
maybe in the future will put in some fancy looking leather belt. Wanted to display it as open but it won't fit..just too big triangle

Had a little mishap, got an estimate ad they wanted $1600. Ill have to think about it so for the time being i ordered a new headlight and ill think about the bumper. Shame because the rest of the car is almost perfect and just got all the rust taken care of. Here's a picture after I pulled the plastic back up and put on some touch up paint. The tape in the headlight just so water doesn't get in because it is supposed to rain the next few days.

Parts wise it was 450 for the bumper, 350 for a headlight, and 2xx for a corner light. I forgot how much they were charging for paint. I ended up getting a headlight off amazon for 100, the beam patter is weird but I'm getting rid of the car once I find the right 4runner (one i had a deposit on was rusty underneath) here is the car with the new headlight. Firmest wasn't terrible so for anyone whoes headlights are really bad, these aren't a terrible option

This is off of Sewell: $300 for the bumper cover, $210 for the headlight, and $71 for the corner light. I would estimate the bumper paint at around $200-400.

Ya, i knew it would be cheaper if i searched around, but i just got the headlight for 100 off amazon and called it a day since the es will be gone soon. its weird, after having a car for 14 years, in the family, I am having an extremely hard time letting it go.

You should sell it to somebody who will appreciate it. Haven't you just spent a bunch on a transmission rebuild? Good luck with the 4Runner, I hear a lot of good things about them.

If i treade it I just won't worry about it haha and about 2 years ago was the transmission, but it needs a new timing sky and tires as its leaking oil and power steering fluid so little things are adding up

If your going to sell it, why not take a small hit on the trade-in price for the damage than fix it?
You'll end up spending much more replacing and repainting the bumper, versus the amount you'll get back on resale.

That's why I only replaced the headlight. This little sender bender was sort of the last straw, I fixed the headlight so I can at least still drive it while I look for a 4runner. Looking at a 2005 with 74k today, it's a dark gray on dark gray sport design at the mercedes dealer
