What have you done to your ES today?

Well I finally had the chance to shampoo the carpet in my car. It was unbelievably nasty.. looked like there were spilled Coca Cola/Dr Pepper in the back and plenty of dirt embedded in the floor. I bought new Lexus mats and covered it up until I had access to the Bissell Big Green Machine from Lowes (we rent it every few months for the carpet in the house as we have dogs)...
I spent about two hours total, including pre-treating the carpet. I went over it a few times with the cleaner. The waste water was absolutely filthy. The car smells so much better and the carpet looks plush and clean now! I recommend this machine. You can rent it from Lowes for about $25 a day.

Should be "what have i done to my lexus all week"! It started blowing out oil at the rate of 1 qt per 50 miles and i couldnt find the leak(somewhere on front of motor). So i started taking stuff off looking(timing cover, fender wall behind tires) Found several things. CV joint boot riped, oil leaking from cam and crank seals and possibly from oil pan, valve cover and oil pump, all motor mounts shreaded, crank pulley damaged and wearing hole in timing cover, spark plugs wore out. So I pulled the motor to work on everything. Been going since the 19th and most of the stuff done, just waiting of 2 parts i broke(transmission plug and timing pully on crankshaft). Should have it back running by the end of the month. Will spend about 1000.00 on parts. Glad iam not charging myself labor! 244,000 miles without much service done, so it needs a little work.

so did a few cosmetics changes and washed the car too:
1) its been a long time since i had the OEM DRL on. so i thought to give it a try and took pics too to see how it looks with the non-oem drl (fogs). Well it sucks. so i put the fogs as drl back on
2) i bought some fancy "pillows" and put them at back near the rear speakers . i think it looks good
3) gave a good clean of the carpets for the trunk
4) i also removed the spare tire. and instead purchased a inflatable seal can and air pump. Meh no need for that rear tire. i think the car should be gliding with that weight gone :P
Anyways here are some shots:

And ya i removed the door logo lights too. Its because they were chinese made ones and got burned from inside. Oh well i will have to look for american made ones.
Its not 97, but 2000 year model. That logo on armrest was etched from the factory

Changed my oil and oil filter ( 5W30 and Z418 Filter)
Went down to my local Toyota warehouse to find a Cabin air filter to replace them as I believed they had never been replaced ( which i was correct ). 15 years without a replacement.
And before i fitted the new filter
