What have you done to your ES today?

Unless the dealership your going to is really good, you'll get the blue one. The gasket that comes in it is pretty low quality (black). If its the blue one, the dealership got rid of the black POS and gave you a good quality one. The black ones are easy to break if you don't torque to spec.

A couple of updates to my Lexus,
I heard a rattling noise on cold starts and when accelerating under 2000 RPM. I looked under to see this, my Lexus rusting away
Instead of ripping off the exhaust shield yet, I decided to drill two holes and zip tie it to the rear sub-frame as a temporary fix, (until the other side of the shield rusts and the hole thing falls off).
The next thing I did was paint the grille. It was a gray color that was peeling away originally.
I masked it off and painted it with Krylon Fusion black plastic paint.
Looks good though I'm tempted to black out the small chrome strips in the middle.
Last thing, I refinished one of my wheels. It was badly corroded, peeling and curb rashed.

It was a lot of work but now the wheel looks almost new. Color match was excellent. I will be posting a DIY here in another month when I tackle the other three wheels .

Honestly I thought the zip ties would eventually fail from the heat and stress under the car. I considered using wire but it was quite cumbersome to tension. Your experience gives me confidence that my zip-tie fix will last .

My 2K ES was starting to stink like a wet rag inside the cabin...then noticed that on the most humid of days, no condensation was draining out from under the car - so I suspected the drain hose was clogged.
Took a brake bleeder tool and started sucking out the water from the drain hose underneath the car, and when I took the bleeder tool off after a few minutes...GUSHER. I'll bet 2 quarts of water came out of that thing...with no indication of water on the front floormats, where was all of this water being held???
There was some debris (looked like a combination of organic STUFF - leaves, etc) that exited from the hose but no more smell for sure.
