95 ES, owned it for almost 3 yrs, and about 3 weeks ago i ran into a strange problem.
this is a new problem to this particular car, and seems to have started since the nights have gotten a little colder
When I start my car in the morning, it quickly and easily goes into reverse, back out of driveway into the street, and when I shift to D, (or L1, or L2 for that matter), i hear what sounds like liquid rushing from one part of the car to the next (oil pan ?) and then it won't shift, i sit there for about 10 seconds, and then, it kinda thumps, and shifts into D, and i'm good for the day.
112K miles, I bought it with 78K, i do not believe the tranny oil has been changed, ever.
I had a similar problem with my old 94 ES, that I sold back in early 2009, it had a hell of a time shifting into D when it was very cold, after it warmed up, it shifted fine, that car had 286K miles so I figured it was just on its last legs and sold it quick and cheap (and yes, i disclosed the tranny quirks)
thoughts ?
i've been putting off getting any major service on this vehicle since i'm actively shopping for a SUV, with a RX300 on the top of my list...

It totally beats me why some owners don't replace their transmission oil.......along with other fluids.
