I couldn't get the door open on my es300, not from inside, nor out. It was a pain, but I managed to get the upper inner door panel off just enough to get to the electronics. After a patient two hr attempt, it FINALLY popped open. Lucky me!

I pulled everything apart, and found the latch that hooks into the striker when you close the door, is not sliding open/releasing. But when I pulled it out, its working fine in my hand. I'm thinking maybe it's just dry, and I'll lubricate it.

Anyone else have this problem? Should I just buy a new one? Anyone have a part no, or know how much this assy costs?
