New Es300 Owner, some questions?
I have owned my '93 Es300 for around 3 weeks now.
Bought for 4,700$ with 277,000k's on the clock. Slightly higher price than normal for one with the same kilometres (about an extra $300) but in return its in basically brand new condition. Leather is good as new, no scuffs or dents, some rock chips on the bonnet, but living in Australia (sitting behind semi-trailers everywhere) after 18 years this would be expected of a car without a plastic deflector. The paint is absolutely perfect and has a great shine and sparkle. Definitely happy with the purchase, the styling still looks completely up to date too, which is a plus.
This is my first car aswell, so mainly just wondering what the main maintenance things i should be looking after (ESPECIALLY at these km's) and what is probably due to fail, or what i should be looking out for?
Have not noticed anything out of the ordinary yet, except a fairly large amount of fumes when running in an enclosed space or reversing, although I've never actually driven a 6 cylinder before this one, so it may just be the bigger engine
It is a beautiful car, and looking forward to hopefully become an active member of the community Ive been lurking since I bought it.
I have made one mod, i installed a USB connection in the centre console, mainly because i have a large amount of gadgets, and charging off the normal cigarette socket;
1. Looks extremely messy and ruins the interior (only if you have to have it open 24/7, which i did)
2. Means you lose functionality of one of the drink holders, which is another bad thing for me. (I drink a lot!)
After the mod, my life has been a lot easier, and allows me to keep the sexy look of the interior, while still being able to charge all my devices I did blow a fuse at one point though!
Probably a long rant, but honestly i could have not been happier with a first car.

Yes I'm pretty sure the timing belt has been replaced
It does use a little more oil than usual, does anyone know what this in indicative of? (is it the seals or something worse >_<)
And i would love to add a part like that, but due to being on my P's (Probationary licence) I'm forbidden from driving anything with any performance modifications.
Im planning to install my Mac mini i have lying around with a 7" touchscreen and use it as a Head-unit just waiting on the funds! 17+No job+$80 for a tank of fuel= quite broke. can't even afford the double-din mount.

Not too much, just travelled 600kms in one sitting and didn't go through a noticeable amount, and theres no leakage onto the ground or in the engine bay. The person I bought it off said I would have to top it off every now and then though.
