Smile HID lights??

hello there i new to club lexus..anyway im looking into putting some HID lights on my 96 es 300. i need some advice of what type, and what do i need to know before i go out and buy them

Welcome to CL! After I recommend you to do the blah blah search blah feature (haha jk :P), I highly recommend you to bake apart your headlight to clean the projector bulb within your headlight. As well as clean the exterior of the headlight lens as well to increase the light output to as much as possible. After that, you can get any HID kit you like. Auto Design and other vendors have many specials in the Vendor Forum so you should check it out!

I also recommend you to get a relay harness as a safety net for the future, also in case the kit does not fire up. As for the temperature, I prefer 4300-5000 for best light output and color. To give you an idea on the output after a 5000 kit, here is a picture of the cut off on my ES:
