I have an appointment today at my lexus dealer for the recall for my ES330. What will they be doing to the car?And how long do you guys think it will take?

Is it for the crank pulley/harmonic balancer?

its for the crankshaft pulley. i took my 05 es thursday and got a complimentary rental car, 20 minutes later they call and tell me my car is not affected but tell me to come in 15 mins so they can wash my car . So I cant say how long it will take to repair since my car was fine.

Does this affect the 2004 model as well?

I believe the recall is for 2004-2006 ES330. So yes, it's possible your 04 is affected. Call your dealer and give them your VIN, they should let you know.

taking mine in end of wk. said bad pulley has notch, and will do TB and other 2 belts for $450.00 with new pulleys if the other pulley bad

wrong on the new pulleys: $450 was for the new belt only. one service manager said never saw a pulley go bad, and the guy who I talked with first said do the pulleys 2nd time around. ia asked why it was so much for new belt, and the guy said they have to remove motor mount to do job and covers over the motor. i hope that is not just the timing belt covers....

Hey guys took mine in and took 30 mins my es330 didn't need change already the new one and black es330 needed it.
