Default 2002 300es

About 8 years ago I was stuck in traffic in Calgary ab when this car went by, I saw a beautiful car drive by me. I didn't know what it was but I liked it and after about ten minutes I was able to fine out that it was a 300ES. I said to myself some day I am going to own that car. While I am not poor Iam a cheap bastard so I said when it comes down to $5000 I am going to buy it. My present driver a 1999 Acura TL is boring me I was always looking for this car.
I found it on Kijii 2 weeks ago, its wine colored and they were asking $8300, I was about to head into the Rockies to sled and ski, I emailed him and told I would be gone for a few weeks and would email him back if it was still available. I emailed him when I got back informed him it was priced too high and offered him 5 Grand, explained it had 1 small dent, one scratch and 243,000 kilometers. (151,000 miles) He countered at $5500 I accepted.
So in the morning I will make my way 4 hours north, hand him a check and see it physically for the first time.
Tomorrow I become a Lexus sort of guy, hope it's a good car. He says it is.

It is quite amazing how these cars stick with you after spotting one for the first time. I think it may have something to do with the 7-8 years that Toyota spent designing, researching, engineering, and developing the first Lexus models in the '80s. As soon as you see one, you know you are looking at quality.

I have no doubts you'll be thrilled with your new car!! Congrats!!
