again ,wow..well since i cleaned the maf sensor and cleared the cel it hasnt come back on yet.. the car feels off still but im low on gas and it could be why if im lucky. to and frm wk is only 40mph max and about 9miles round trip. so ive only driven 18 miles. im going to get some super in the car tonight or tomorrow and drive a little more and see what that will do. i guess i just wait until i have to make the next step frm here.. im pretty certain i will, as if the maf sensor cleaning is all that i needed to do wouldnt that have made a different error code on the reading? or could i maybe be this lucky thats all i had to do at this point?
also with what ive been reading i hear using the cheaper universal parts somehow can cause the cel to keep appearing even after the faulty part is changed with a good working but universal part because its not oem? is this something i should keep in mind if i use universal? and are they otherwise just as good in quality and wear as oem in your opinion or experience?
leaving this experience on a good note, by joining this forum i now have found out that my lcd going all haywire until now it is a bunch of blackness isnt something i caused to happen! i had a coffee in hand and got pushed so it sprayed the radio but i cleaned it off right away and i thought it had to be the cause! but i am happy to find it just happens to these cars commonly and i can even attempt to fix this by myself as there are step instructions for following! im excited to try this in the future and fix myself! Thanks for all the advice and help and patience with me i appreciate it! ill keep everyone posted on what happens..

 

sorry if I sound stupid but I just had the section of exhaust pipe replaced which contains the catalytic converter and my engine light and traction control light came on a day later. It was aftermarket and read a previous post that states this could be the issue. Any and all help is appreciated as I'm new to this forum
