unknown problem

Default unknown problem

ok i have a 92 es300 and recently i went to start it and it wouldnt start, but i heard the clicking so i assumed it was the starter so i pushed it to the parking lot and left it overnight, i stopped by it in the morning on the way to work and tryed to start it and it started but idled for a second so i dont think its the starter anymore.....so i have no idea what it could be, can anybody help??

Check the battery terminals. A lot of the time when it sounds like the stater not working, it;s actually a loose connection and the starter not getting enough power.

Either that or corrosion.

You'd be surprised at how well battery acid corrosion can insulate a terminal, or even inside the wire itself.

Don't jump to conclusions and buy parts until you've tracked the problem.
