Suspension Problems ?
Hey guys,
I've noticed that every time I drive my ES300 around with passengers in the back and I go over a pothole or turn, there is a large rubbing noise coming from the left side rear tyre.
My car is stock height so it can not be the fenders rubbing so I'm starting to think that it is the actual suspension arc rubbing on the inside of the tyre.
Is this possible ? and if so, what can be done to stop it ?
If this helps, my tyres are 235/40/17 ( I think )
Thanks in advance !

Hey there,
What is the width of the wheels & offset?? Even at standard height you can easily experience rubbing.. especially in the back as the car naturally sits quite low in the rear. 235 tyres might be slightly too wide. I used to have a set of 18s with 235s at standard height and they rubbed bad.. im running 225 17s now and dont have problems with sport lowering springs.
Can you notice any wear on inside or outside of tyre??

I did notice some wear on the outside of the tyre.
I went out and bought 18's running 225's and I haven't heard anything since.
If was they back tyres rubbing with the guard,
Now, even with a full back seat, it is quiet.
Looks like 10mm made a huge difference.
