There is a detailed diagnostic procedure for the seat heater system in the repair manuals for each Lexus model in which they were available. It is not as simple as "where to put my + and - of my multimeter". You could buy the repair manuals, subscribe to a service that has them or ask a Lexus dealer for the seat heater diagnostic procedures.

The diagnostic instructions tell you which pins in which connectors to probe to check for continuity. The diagnostic instructions I am referring to cover a lot more than checking the heater elements in the seat cushion and back. They cover how to check the heater switches, wiring harness, relays, etc. for continuity, voltage and resistance. Seat heater issues are not always due to defective heater elements.
