Cats can go early for several external reasons, such as engine running too rich or too lean, so such causes, if exist will need to be identified and corrected, otherwise you can ruin a new Cat in no time.
How do you know that your Cat is gone?

I would look for an aftermarket option, a catalytic convert from a Lexus dealer is going to be BIG money, probably over $1,200 installed. I've had aftermarket converters on other cars I've owned without any issues, the last one cost about $150 installed.
Also, is it just flashing a code or are there real drivability issues?
