12V Ignition switched points.
Hello everyone,
A couple of months ago when i took out the stock head-unit of my 93 ES300, it was working fine for a while, and then the IGN cable for the head-unit started doing the complete opposite of what it was meant to do. (It went+12V when the ign was off, and went to 0V when the ign was on) This wasnt too much of a problem as i simply used the cigarette lighters cable instead (i have taken it out).
Now, present day, ive installed a sub and amp along with my CarPC setup, abnd its all working great, apart from when i turn the car off. One of my devices is keeping the IGN wire charged at 12V for some reason, so therefore everything stays running.
Its obvious that its because theyre on the same line, so i was wondering what other IGN switched 12V cables are there?
And most importantly, if anyone was any idead what happened to the IGN line for my stock radio.
Thanks in advance,
dewso1
